Book flameless 3+ weeks ahead in August — demand is heavy.
How many candle holders do I need for a 120-guest Helwig pavilion reception?
For 12 rounds of 10: 3 clusters per table (1 tall, 2 low votives) = 36 pieces. Add 8–10 for the sweetheart table, 15–20 for aisle and welcome-table votives, and optionally 6–8 pillar hurricanes for the bar and cake table. Working total is 65–75 pieces for a styled Helwig pavilion reception.
Can we use open flame in the Helwig underground cellar for a private dinner?
No — Helwig restricts the cellar to enclosed hurricane holders only, regardless of fire conditions. The cellar houses active barrels and the ventilation is limited. Our enclosed hurricane line photographs well in the barrel-room light, and we include glass hurricanes at no extra charge for any cellar-dinner candle order.
What about the National Hotel ballroom — what are their candle rules?
The National Hotel requires enclosed holders on all candle service because of the historic wood floor and period carpets. No open taper flames, no unshielded votives. Gold pillar hurricanes are our most common request for National Hotel receptions since they match the hotel's gilt-and-warm-wood interior.
Do you deliver candle holders the day before a Jackson wedding for setup?
For Saturday events we can do Friday afternoon delivery on our consolidated Jackson run, and candle holders are included in that schedule.
