1. Vizcaya Sacramento
Vizcaya sits along the Sacramento River, with Mediterranean-style architecture and a lot of garden space. It works well for couples who want an older, romantic look but still expect modern amenities to be handled.
Capacity: Up to 300 guests
Best for: Garden ceremonies, elegant receptions
2. The Sterling Hotel
A historic mansion downtown that now runs as a small wedding venue. The Victorian details and boutique-hotel feel make it a good fit for couples who want something intimate rather than a big banquet hall.
Capacity: Up to 150 guests
Best for: Intimate weddings, city celebrations
3. Scribner Bend Vineyards
Wine-country setting without Napa pricing. Scribner Bend has a ceremony lawn with open views and a climate-controlled barrel room, which matters in the Sacramento summer when an outdoor reception isn't realistic.
Capacity: Up to 250 guests
Best for: Vineyard weddings, outdoor ceremonies
4. The Pavilion at Haggin Oaks
A newer venue built around mature oak trees, with both indoor and outdoor space. The layout is flexible, so it handles a wide range of guest counts and floor plans.
Capacity: Up to 400 guests
Best for: Large weddings, flexible layouts
5. Sacramento Grand Ballroom
This is the classic ballroom option downtown: crystal chandeliers, marble floors, full-service staff. If you want a formal evening reception, it's built for that.
Capacity: Up to 500 guests
Best for: Formal weddings, grand celebrations
6. Park Winters Estate
Out in Winters, about 30 minutes from the city, this estate runs more like a destination property. It has a French country house, gardens, and overnight rooms on site, which makes it suited to weekend events rather than a single afternoon.
Capacity: Up to 200 guests
Best for: Destination-style weddings, weekend celebrations
7. Crocker Art Museum
One of the oldest public art museums in the Western U.S., and you can hold a wedding among the collection. There are a few different event spaces, including an indoor courtyard that works as a ceremony or reception room.
Capacity: Up to 350 guests
Best for: Cultural celebrations, unique venues
8. Granite Bay Golf Club
A private club overlooking the hills in Granite Bay. The clubhouse and the grounds both photograph well, and you can use them for the ceremony and the reception. Note that as a private club, availability and access can be tighter than a dedicated event venue.
Capacity: Up to 250 guests
Best for: Golf course weddings, upscale celebrations
9. Old Sugar Mill
An old sugar factory in Clarksburg that's now a winery and event space. The industrial building with vineyards around it gives you a look you won't find at a standard banquet hall.
Capacity: Up to 300 guests
Best for: Rustic-industrial weddings, wine lovers
10. Capitol Park
If the budget is tight, Capitol Park is hard to beat. It's a public park downtown with a rose garden and old trees, so the backdrop is already there. You'll handle permits and bring in your own rentals, but the venue cost itself is minimal.
Capacity: Varies
Best for: Outdoor ceremonies, budget-friendly celebrations
Filling in the gaps with rentals
Most of these venues give you the room and the view, but not the tableware. Once you've booked, the glassware, china, and table settings are usually on you or your planner. At Rent 4 Party we stock glassware, fine china, and full table settings that fit the formality of any of these spots. Take a look at our glassware collection or request a quote when you have your date and headcount.
